Got this in the post today

I received a letter in the post today from a woman who organised the school prom i did on the 11th of this month. I was well chuffed, so thought i would share it with you.

Dear Andy,

I'm sure the response of the students (and staff!) at the Commonweal school leaver's ball last week told you that your contribution was a tremendous success.
It is no mean feat keeping 200 young people dancing happily for three hours without a break, but you managed it perfectly! Thank you for taking the time and care to produce a show that reflected their tastes and requests. It was really appreciated.
Over the years we have tried various discos and bands: sometimes both! However the general feeling is that this year's formula was the best yet!
Please feel free to use the school as a referee when similar events are being considered - we can recommend Reminisce without reservation!
We are looking forward to seeing you again at the staff summer party on the 17th of July and shall be in touch soon.

I knew it went well but this was totally out of the blue . It further clarifies that all the effort is worth it when something like that drops through the letterbox.:)

Im not sure the whole letter is the best idea? Wouldnt people loose interest after the first couple of lines? Maybe just take the best line out of it?

I always found that a number of excerpts (if you have a number, that is) quoting the best bits was always preferable to the whole thing, verbatim. Just pop a disclaimer at the bottom 'Full versions of these references available on request'.

.....definately put it up on your site; I would scan the actual letter in. I do this with my letters and emails as I feel it goes some way to proving they are genuine. Just quoting bits from the feedback does not have the same impact IMHO.
