Companies that make them are Abstract, Mad and Zoom. I'm not sure you can tell from that photo really....

They're definately not the zoom, as the intelligent connectivity on Zoom's is at the back. I'm guessing it's the Abstract. :)

Probably because Max voted it to be 5 star!

I came up with that 'Conclusion' because the majority of answerers suggested it, a DJ that owns one has verified it. These are unique as they have a frame around them. The Zoom one's don't. The DJ that owns these has Abstract lighting.

Just a pair.

The Company has stopped making them now and I want a pair, should I buy some before they sell out, or will decent moodbars be available in the future?

There's plenty of decent alternatives out there - assuming you even want to use moodbars. I borrow a pair of these from a friend for gigs where I'm doing 60's/70's/80's nights or I know that I'm going to be severely restricted for head room. They do contribute to the mood, but they are expensive for the effect that they give and are really only suitable for use in certain situations (unless you've got a thing about light boxes already :D ).

If you're going to spend just short of £500 on lighting effects, buy a pair of moving heads or a 4 pack of decent scanners - unless they look REALLY good in your bedroom of course (my daughter actually wanted to hijack the pair I borrowed for her room!)

Slightly off topic - but does anyone know who made a 7' high version of the XP1's? A friend of mine bought a pair second hand and they're so tall that he can actually stand them on the floor and support the top of them on his deckstand bar - but he's been trying to track down exactly what they are and where they came from for about 6 months!

I Think They're Great, and haven't seen anything like it yet.
There are things are Megabars etc, but they are nowhere near the thickness or them, and they are bare LEDs.

I Really admire the abstract Moodbars.

Perhaps the type you were referring to were the Zoom ones, have a look on DJkit.co.uk for Zoom Moodbars.

I've got a pair of the Zoom ones, hardly use them and they spend most of their life in the loft :D

I've also got a pair of the Zoom ones, and get more positive comment about them than any other lighting effect I've ever used.:)

Point Proven - Hence I want a Pair :)

These are for Mobile use, I am considering buying a pair before they sell out completely - as abstract are now concentrating on fancy nightclub stuff like stairs that light up etc (don't quote me on that)
