C D player cleaning

This may be a silly question but can you clean a dual C D player lens with a standard C D lens cleaner ?

Yes, you can get cleaning Discs (CDs) for them, but if they've had a lot of useage, they're likely to need a thorough clean inside.

Mine have had a lot of use over the last years, and now start jumping etc often enough, so I need to clean them up.

I have done before, as they're no different to normal cd players.
Wouldn't buy a cheap cd lens cleaner though. Get like a sony one or something maybe so you know its a decent quality cleaner.
