Volvo V70. First time I've ever ordered a new car built to my spec, so I'm quite excited.

It didn't say so in the spec, but I jolly well hope so!
It's a nice six-speed auto diesel, as I can only drive autos, so I suppose that makes it even worse!!

It will be built like a tank though :D

....we may all knock the likes of Volvo but IMO it has to be one of the safest car's on the road.
Hope you have fun in it. :)
The wheels don't look like alloys to me. More like pressed steel wheels with new plastic wheel trims on.
Car looks in pretty good condition. Good luck with the sale. :)

I'm sure Phil knows his own car Tom. ;)
This is a nice motor and there is masses of room in it too.

Maybe so but from that picture it looks very much like pressed steel wheels, not alloys.

Maybe Phil has fitted alloys to the car, to which then a new picture would be better. :)
NO mention of alloy wheels - http://www.carpages.co.uk/hyundai/hyundai_has_added_specs_appeal_28_06_04.asp

It is the special edition model (SE) which came with Alloys, built in rear DVD and a couple of other things.

Are you sure Phil? Are you sure you know your own car? Other people seem to know more about it than you....:sj:

Maybe put up a new picture with the alloys on???

Some people just never give up, do they?
You are wrong Tom. End of story.
Phil says the car has alloys, so it has alloys, regardless of pictures.

Tom, as you're so interested why not come over and view it for yourself. It would certainly not disappoint you.
On the other hand, if you're not interested in buying it, why not concentrate on messing up someone else's thread. Do you get me?
Now, is there anyone out there who might be interested. The price is what I am getting as part exchange and it would do a fabulous job for someone who occasionally needs to shift a load, such as a DJ.
In one week, I will advertise it elsewhere at £600 more to allow for offers etc. and to be closer to prices others are asking.

Awful, stereotypicalness (is that a word?) ;) :p
I drive a Volvo S60 and reasonably proud of that fact :D :o :D
Especially on a recent run from home, to Birmingham, Bournemouth and back home, it averaged 64mpg for a 2.4litre deisel :D :D :D

Sorry but is that a threat or something because that's how I see it.
Firstly I would like to appologise but I just didn't see why you posted a picture of the car with steel wheels when you say they had alloy wheels on.
Just didn't add up.
Also, if it was a problem, any mod or admin of the forum could of deleted my posts.
I do wish you luck on selling the car and I hope you get what you are asking for it. :)

Don't be silly Tom. Phil is a good friend of mine and I can assure you he wouldn't be threatening anyone on here or anywhere else for that matter.

I understand you like cars Tom, but that does not mean that you know everything there is to know about them and there's no need to comment really if you aren't interested in buying the car.

I didn't think there was enough of a problem to delete posts.

OK. The post just looked like it to me.

I know I don't know everything and to be honest I don't want to know everything as this is not the field I want to work in.
If the car has alloy wheels on in the original picture (which has now been removed) then OK, I accept that. It just looks different to me. :)

Not intentionally in any way.
Everything else is fine, let's just leave it there. My only motivation is to offer it cheap to people I know first, that's all.
