Please please take your cameras and phones out tonight folks. I expect at least 5 new threads tomorrow morning;) I will happily kick start! For me the Gallery section is one of the best on the forum!
(maybe because there isn't a lot of heavy text to understand :sj:)

I will try and get some photos but it depends if the missus brings it back from work with her.

Well spotted Gary, although that was my colleagues record, not mine.

Sorry, but the reason some people would like to see my set up is so they can have a go at it, which is the exact reason if won't be appearing here.
As has often been said to people who post pics & don't like it when they get bad comments "If you don't want comments, don't post your pics"
I'm also taking that advice...for a slightly easier life!

Rob, Rob, Rob....don't worry about it!!
I know I haven't got the best set up's in the world and all that but it doesn't matter.
The main thing is...You are busy all the time with what you are using. If it works for you then great. I'd like to see what you are using to be honest.

I don't mind if people 'have a go' at any pictures I post. Personally, I'm fairly happy with the gear I use, but I'm always looking for improvements. If someone comes along and offers constructive criticism and advice on improvements, then I'll consider their opinions. I may not implement their suggestions, but I'd certainly listen to everyone's opinions.
After all, the main reason I'm on the forum is to make by service better.

I was about to post pictures of my rig here the other day, but took a critical look at the photos before uploading them and decided that actually, I could do better before uploading. Reading some of the feedback other members have had on their photos have actually made me think twice about some of the things I've been doing, and me think, that, yeah actually I ought to do something about that.
Once I've got my rig a bit more together, I'll upload a few photos - but I'd like to point out that even though I've gone a bit shy :o the feedback people have given to others has really proved invaluable to me as a fairly new forum member, and when I do upload photos I will absolutely be welcoming any comments made (as long as they're constructive  ).

I'm quite happy with my set up, don't want any advice about it & don't want to encourage those who would love to have a field day criticizing it.
To be honest, I don't have any pics of my set up anyway.
However, when I get some I might email them to anyone like you who is genuinely interested & isn't just out to have a go.

You're right, that was a cheap £40 mic.
In 1992 I decided to upgrade, so splashed out £125 on the SM58.
I know they don't cost that much now, but they did back then!
