Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd post a video I made very quickly this morning of me improvising to John Mayer's Neon. Its not that great it was my first time playing the track, and I make a few mess ups, but never mind, I did it for a laugh :)
Hope you enjoy it!
P.S: Fast forward to 2:50 as it starts to get a bit more interesting from then onwards, or of course, watch the whole vid! Please watch in HD!

Hey I play drums aswell, been on and off for about 10 years now. I play a nice Roland TD20K kit but have also got a Pearl acoustic but dont play that much because of the sheer volume :(

Oh right cool :) My Dad's boss lent me his TD20 when he was moving house, it's a cool kit :)

Last year, my band went to Germany for 6 gigs, and i suffered from huge 'blister' problems which put me out of drumming for a couple of months. My hands are used to drumming now, but i'd just prefer to take precautions rather than wait until my hands are buggered again!
Thanks :)

For goodness sake - I'm awake after 3 hours sleep from last nights gig and I have to wake up to drumming!
Seriously, a great watch and mighty fine work Ollie. I played drums too for a while in my teens (35 years ago!) and you just blew me away - especially as you say it was your first time playing the track!
John Mayer is fantastic as are the musicians who he chooses to work with him. I've seen him twice including at the Royal Albert Hall on my 50th birthday. Anybody who fancies a change of groove on a Sunday (or any day for that matter) would do well to check him out.
Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

Loved the video! Really nice to hear.
I also play drums on and off and moved from an acoustic to electric TD12 and forgot how beautiful the sound of sabian , zildjian K customs sounded!
I used to the tihnk electric was the way forward but a good acoustic kit played well just cant be beaten i dont think!
Nice one

Amazing how many people used to play the drums - I had lessons for 2 years when I was at school too. Very cool Ollie.

Thanks for all your feedback!
And yes, the Sabians & Zildjians are awesome!
For those that know what i'm on about;
I use a combo of Sabian AAX & HHX and Zildjian K.
