Following from this thread (http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=75390#post75390) What are your top tracks of the genre? (please only list tracks that are proven to actually work in a mobile disco situation & not just because they are of a certain genre. Also must be suitable for all ages)

It doesn't matter if you post a track that somebody else has, the idea is to find good useable tracks of the genre that are proven to work for mobile DJs

Please Stick to the specific genre in the thread title

Make the lists as long as you like as long as they are useable

Overall a less common aspect of Mobile DJing, but many of us, I'm sure, have been involved in providing ceremony music which somehow inevitably ends up being champagne and nibbles on the lawn music, too.

Sometimes you're asked for music that's more usually in-keeping with a disco, but sometimes it's jazz/swing, and maybe even classical. Because classical can have such massive variations in volume it's handy to know the pieces with the big crescendos for certain events (like fireworks) and it's handy to know the pleasant, well-known pieces with fairly constant volume through-out...

Pachelbel 'Cannon in D Major'
Bach 'Air On A G-String'
Strauss 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' (great for fireworks)
Vivaldi 'The Four Seasons (Spring (Allegro)'
Grieg 'Morning from Peer Gynt'
Mozart 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik'
Satie 'Gymnopedie No 1'
Albinoni 'Adagio'
Rachmaninov 'Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini'
Mozart 'Clarinet Concerto (Adagio)'
Mozart 'Piano Concerto No 21 (Andante)'
Elgar 'Enigma Variations - Nimrod'
Massenet 'Meditation'

We did have a thread dedicated to Classical in this section, but people couldn't get their heads around the no nebates, just lists policy of these threads & it turned into an argument about whether or not you would use Classical at a gig so I closed the thread.

Any posts other than lists of classical pieces suitable for various aspects of a function (background, fireworks etc) & comments on when they could be used will be deleted. Do not post anything else. This is an instruction from an admin & therefore forum rules apply. (if these instructions are not followed, sanctions will be made)
