Hi all,
Just had a call from someone that I was chasing up because they had made an enquiry regarding a re-union Disco in July. I had sent the booking forms around 3 weeks ago and had nothing back as yet. I was told today that they can't go ahead with the booking as they can't chance being out of pocket incase the numbers aren't as good as expected....So, without the booking forms etc, the cancellation charges don't really come into effect as in reality, there's no booking until the forms are signed and returned to me - Fair enough.
BUT.....
What this means is that I have a whole weekend in the middle of July now (the 10th, 11th and 12th)...the height of the wedding season etc etc where I am NOT working and this is doing my head in to be honest. Looking at last years bookings, the same weekend last year was mega busy for me. I'm hoping that it gets filled obviously but...well, we'll see eh. If I were in the position to just take it off then that would be great...thing is, I'm NOT. I am having some really good weekends with some decent priced jobs but it's not consistent enough at the moment and not working a whole weekend can knock you back a bit and then you are playing catch up.
I was going to put the weekend in the 'Available' section for South East but wasn't sure if that was allowed so I'll just add here that if anyone gets any enquiries for this weekend in the South East and they can't fill them then please send them my way. If you need to know any details about me then please let me know.
