Just wondered , apart from PAT testing , and obvious visual faults.
How often to you clean barrel mirrors , scanner mirrors and lenses .
Also touch up the odd paint chip ?.

I try to give mirrors and lenses a quick clean before every gig , and once every 6 months , take the covers of the lights and use a vacuum and compressed air to rid of dust etc .

I clean my mirrors, lenses and barrels around every 4 weeks, As for the chips and scratches I just touch them up as they appear to keep my equipment looking clean and fresh.

I give my equipment the isopropyl alchol clean every six months. I found those microfibre cleaning cloths are great to take to a gig for a quick mirror and lense wipe when needed.
If you use smoke a lot I would clean more often but its pretty rare to use smoke round by me these days.

I use a haze machine most of the time, I am just very careful with it anyway as I don't believe in filling the room full of smoke/haze. Just enough so people can't tell there is a haze machine and just enough for the beams of the lights to show.

I try to wipe clean the barrel mirror and lenses before each gig.I also open up the cover every so often and clean the dust of from the inside. It makes a big difference to your lights when you do this.

Every few months I clean all my lights inside and out, never needed to paint so far.
