Got two UL 15's and recently sprayed them silver as I use to hire the same speakers which had been sprayed silver and they looked alot better!

Proplem is..... I didnt do a great job. I used alloy wheel spray and the colour is ok but doesnt look that great.and its starting to come away already, so now I have three choices

Strip the silver spray back to the original grill

Use another method to get a better finish.

Get new grills.

Thoughts please

Did you prep the grill first? I don't imagine spraying straight on to an already sheened surface would come up well. What about a light sanding down, and another coat?

How would you go about preping a grill for this then? In hindsight I shouldnt of done this.

Darren, what can I say dont be jealous!

Get them either well sanded, or sand blasted. Blasting will be fairly cheap for the amount of work involved.

You'll find that most sandblasting companies will also offer (or know of ;) ) a local powdercoating service.
