at the monent i have a prolight winch truss but i was thinking of getting a deck stand.
my question is would it be possable to take the legs off the winch truss and use them as uprights for a deck stand and fit something to be able to use the duel lighting bars to hang lights on :beer1:

In all fairness I wouldnt of thought you could do that. Remember the deckstand is only designed to use one lighting bar (the one that comes with it)

You could buy a deckstand and just use the base and carry on using the truss.

Or ditch the winch?

Youve also got to think that the maximum height of the deckstands own lighting bar will be desinged to still be stable. Having a winch system thats not desiged with the stand, may mean you can have the lighting too high for the stability of the base.

i had a pair of winch stands which i took the legs off and used them with a ultimax stand the only problem, i had to get andy at ultimax to supply 2 stand ends with bigger holes to fit the winch pods in,otherwise worked great

Have you worked out the width of the deckstand to make sure you can attact the trussing ok to it? Or rather the space between the two poles your looking to attact the truss to?
