i remember someone starting a thread about the hardest access you've had, last week we had one that fitted that catorgory, the venue gave us the choice of pushing/pulling the trailer 100 yrds up a slight incline to the venue or parking in the next doors car park and liftng all the gear over a 4ft wall:bang:
anyway tonights venue is the easiest we do by a long way, drive straight to the back entrance open the fire doors and the stage is right there, around 5ft away from the trailer doors, if only we could play there every week

I had a similar one a few months ago. Like you parked out by the fire doors. Open the doors and load straight in on the stage.
Same last night too. Both were social clubs too interesting enough.

Yep nice parking outside straight through fire door onto stage about 6 ft has to be my easiest access for gear. Wish my wednesday night booking was that easy lol.

Easiest access I have ever had, drove my trailer into clients garden, opened the side, plugged in power and started playing. But then again it is built for that and gets promoted for that reason.

Why oh why do venue owners rarely consider bands/disco's when designing their function rooms. A local hotel I used to play at had fairly good access until recently. It used to be possible to carry our equipment into a small foyeur (sorry sbout spelling :) ) beside the set up area. A couple of years ago the owner built a large conservatory on that side of the building. Now everything has to be brought in through the main entrance on the opposite side of the function room :bang: :bang: It also means there is nowhere to hold stuff while waiting for the band to finish.
