NUFC Statement
The Board of Newcastle United can today confirm that the Club is for sale at the price of £100m.
Interested parties should contact Newcastle United at
[email protected] (or Keith Harris at Seymour Pierce) for further details.
The Club will not be making any further comment at the present time
so if u think about this buy the club for 100mill sell all the players and assets you should make 150 mill thats a clear 50 mill profit now i wonder if the bank will just lend me the money

No offence but there isnt a player for newcastle thats worth £5 million apart from maybe Steven Taylor. I am including michael owen in that too!
I heard about this from the radio. Can you imagine how many Sunderland and Middlesboro fans would of emailed them saying "Will you take a quid"

£100m!!? You can get Kaka for less than that! ;)
I think you'd find that some of the players would come into form with the correct motivation and stability - certainly the likes of Michael Owen, Alan Smith and Obi Martins are top players!

Really Alan Smith?
He cant even get in the newcastle side? I dont know why they think hes an midfielder however.
I'm hoping that Nolan gets a move though. I really rate the guy and I bet hes wondering why he left Bolton now!

when was you ever in the top six apart from once Sad fact is Newcastle is not a top 10 club and wont be for many years to come but i do think a club like that in the championship is a disgrace and needs to be sorted i hope they get a buyer who will invest in the future

they were also in the champions league. In fact you'll find they get sell outs at most games and their stadium is second largest to man utd's? I hope they bounce back straight away.

Judging by the atmosphere at their games I'd of said the away dressing at st james held more :P

Probably none because no self-respecting Mackem would offer that much for the mags! :D

The fixture list is great. Sunderlands first home game is to the mighty Chelsea. Newcastle's first home club is against some team that go by the name of....

I wouldn't bet my last 10p on Newcastle beating Reading, either!
