Hi, after renting a RCF 905-as 15" subwoofer a few weeks ago and being very, impressed I have been planning to buy one pretty soon (approx £1000).
My only hesitation is that there are comparable spec subs by DB (with marginally higher SPLs for significantly cheaper, the DB Sub 15 (around £500) (fan cooled) and the DB Sub 15D (around £750, with a digital power amp and passive cooling and looks a littl e prettier). I've heard the DB Opera series of active tops and was reasonably impressed, but have no experience with their subs. Are they sufficiently inferior to RCF to justify the difference in price.
As far as I know, both DB and RCF are assembled in Italy - I'm not sure about the sourcing of components though.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Matt
