today i went to the newcastle hoppings the biggest travling fair in europe and there was one of those simulator rides ( you know the one that looks abit like a transit van ).
the signage near the ride spelt out simulator in multi colour leds (gu10 type i think) and it looked a really good effect.
just woundering if anyone has seen this or knows how to get the same effect

Would love to get up there for the fair one day just so far away:(
As for the sign are you talking about the LED Dot matrix signs? Usually Red but these day are available in multi colours.

no not the dot matrix type but each lamp holder had 3 leds in each and each letter was made up of lamp holders and around the borders of the sign there were more led lamp holders.
if i go back to the hoppings again i will try and take a video clip of it

The fair what they have here every year in Hull is one of the largest travelling fairs in europe as well. It takes place in the first week of october for an entire week every year.

Looks like most of what was funderworld took part this year:)
Is the video above from this year or last year?
Its crazy to think the distance these machines travel. I've seen most of these attractions down of the south coast:eek: . Looks great but you forget with these fairs you have to pay for each ride individually. Expensive.
Tango is a great ride!
