in just under 1 month we will be celebrating mans greatest achievement(or what some say is mans biggest hoax)
on july 16th 1969 apollo 11 blasted off from kennedy space centre for a four day journey to the moon landing on the moon at 4:17 pm eastern daylight time 20th july 6 hrs later neil armstrong took one small step.
here is their story

Yes, it did.

Yes, it did.

.....some would say "then why can't we get there now, in the 21st Century?"

I personally believe we went to the moon and the man at Kennedy Space Centre told me. :D:D:D

Yes, it did.

oh no it didn't,:)
would problably been harder to hoax it than actually do it

Somebody once told me that:

"The chance of landing a spacecraft on the moon in the 60's, is the same as throwing a dart at a target the thickness of the edge of an A4 sheet of paper."

.....which I'm guessing is pretty impossible, but like I said, I believe it happened.

AND, they still make documentaries with the controllers from NASA about it. Surely if it had been a hoax, they wouldn't keep interviewing past workers and making programs about it 40 years on, would they?

i heard that one and many others, it seems to me that for every argument that they did not happen there is an explanation, but at the end of the day it depends on who you listen to for example your argument above is explained by this

The odds of a successful Moon landing were calculated to be 6000 to 1 against (or probability 0.000167).

This figure of 6000 to 1 against a successful mission is put forward by Bill Kaysing, although it is unclear exactly how the figure was calculated or from which data.

NASA and GEC did computer simulations involving every aspect the mission. The results consistently gave a projected success rate of over 90%.

this was taken from this site

but for me the biggest argument is
if they did not take place why didn't the russians expose it, they had the technology to follow it all the way there and back

Fair point.

Many people believe that Apollo 11 lifted off, went to space and "The Eagle" landed on the moon.

However there were about 8-10 other missions before that, were NASA sent their space craft nearer and nearer to the moon to collect data, so they could eventually put me there.

There was not just one moon landing either, there were about 6 more lunar landings after Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins visited.

.....I think it's about time we get back to there.....

i think if they had the technology to land on the moon they would of put the men on the ship,if anything happened and the craft crashed the astronauts would of had to disappear permanantly anyway.
