Venue Help - North East

Hi,

My brother is getting married next year and wants a big venue in the north east. I have thought of a few but was wanting more ideas.

How big is big ???
What standard are you looking for ie hotel, club, hall etc ?

........And dont forget the "North Easts" a big place.
Newcastle Racecourse is popular catering for small to very large numbers.
and has the choice of 5 or more funtion rooms.
If you want to travel o bit further north Chillingham Castle is nice, in fact theres a few nice castles and hotels that could fulfull your needs.

He is looking for a nice country house type place. For about 80 during the day and about 150 during the evening. He thinks about an hour away from sunderland would be fine.

Beamish Hall would be my personal reccomendation. There are loads of nice country house hotels in the area though.
