right am stuck do i buy one of these or go with a powered mixer ?

It is only a case and if you need a mixer then that should come first. I still havent flight cased my DMX controller after 3 years but it is fine as I wrap it in impact foam and store it in a bag.
All mixers are different I would recomend choosing the mixer first then choose a case to match it rather than buying a case first.
