Dmx Pc Cables

Apologies if this has been done, but couldnt find a comparison, so:

What cables/adaptors do you use to connect tour laptop to DMX light?

Are they all the same? are some better than others? are there any limitations?


and where is the best place to buy from?

I think the majority of people using PC based controllers use some kind of interface such as a Daslight or ADJ MyDMX dongle.

I have just seen the DMX Dongles, be careful which ones you buy, as I've heard one that doesn't work.

What do you mean by 'Tour' laptop, Is that the make or what?

I got a usb DMX dongle but can't be bothered to sit down and play with the software (still haven't found one that's really simple to use).

I may be selling it real soon (keep an eye out in the for sale section if you're interested).
