help needed

hi guys,
having worked on stage with preset amp and speakers, i ventured forth and decided to start up on my own.
i have a pair of peavey xt series hisys speakers, and a peavey xr 800f amplifier.
i set my eqs in what is known as the peavey smile, the sound is good, but just lately have has problems, the music disappeared, and i was left with what i can only describe as a ,swarm of bees sound coming from the speakers.
i have been told this could be interference from a cb mast or taxis,im just wondering if any of you guys have had similar problems.
i do karaoke discos and wonder if anyone has any tips about the equipment im using i.e better set ups.

Have you checked your tweeters? They might have gone, this results in a very boxy, basy sound that doesn't sound very nice tbh. Check your tweeters, they might need replacing mate ;)
