The time has come

Peeps due to my extreamly heavy work commitments i have recently been unable to do the prep work required for each disco. As a result i have felt that my standards are dropping and this is not acceptable. I have to concentrate on my full time job even more so in this un steady times so as a result having thought long and hard about this i am no longer going to be operating a mobile disco. I try to put 110% in all that i do and can no longer do this so the time is right.

This forum has been through out a welth of information for which i thank each and evey one of you for.

I will be looking to sell my equipment in one hit rather than look to split it down and will be listing all i have very soon with photograps when i get a chance it is road ready to go and would make a ideal second set up or indeed a main set up for any one wanting it.

Agreed - complete rigs are hard to sell and usually fetch very little money compared to their component parts. Principally because:

a) Anyone starting in this business usually buys some kit and then grows their rig (and the large price tags on complete rigs can put people off)

b) Anyone already in the business will only be interested in specific parts of a rig as otherwise they'll be getting a lot of duplicates. Usually the only reason someone would buy a complete rig is for specific parts that they want, and then they'd split the rest to see if they could get all their money back ;)

Sorry to hear it Daz. Personally if you have the space, i would keep a very basic rig...you never know when your going to be itching to give it another go. Ive never known a single DJ hang up the headphones, and forget about them ;)

I did last Saturday when I hung mine on a fireplace in the venue and just realised yesterday I had left them, luckily venue manager has them :D :D

Sorry to hear the news Daz. Is there no way you could get away with 'lightening the load' for a short while ??
