Right guys what kind of Vans are you all got and is it big enough for your needs..or do you wish you have got bigger..Post your pics and tease me into what van i should be heading for..

Was thinking Renault Master MWB 2.8 tdi...second hand of course..

but Im open to suggestions...

My van is also ten years old, and that's the only reason I'm replacing it.

The new one will see me through to my retirement, and I look forward to being able to go back to cars again after that.

IF I was to get a van it would be a Merc Vito Dual Liner.

you can get some pretty newish vans for that price but most would have quite high mileage though.

What car do you have at the moment? remember you can get up to 2k off if its over ten years old!

Mine was 1700 quid late last year. Had high mileage but not a proplem really with mercs (apart from the fact mines an unleaded). It was already lined and it has twin side loading doors which are brilliant. Most vitos I saw only had one passenger seat however.

Whilst I often advocate small is beautiful in terms of rigs, after having started to plan my equipment expenditure over the next 12 - 18 months so that I can deliver all of the services I feel are necessary, I will need to buy a bigger vehicle than I intended.

Obviously it all comes down to how much kit you have.

I've had Escort, Fiesta & soon a Transit Connect van because although they're small, they would probably STILL take my kit twice over.

Great on the fuel, 3 seats, plylined in the back, aircon, integrated bluetooth/handsfree, 2 side sliding doors and rear doors that open 180degrees.

Big enough for what I carry and still room for more!

2003 Ford Transit short wheelbase semi high roof. I prefer a larger van, because apart from having a fair amount of gear, I dont have to break down my deckstand every gig, just remove the lighting bar and slide it in across the back. Lighting bar then fits in longways, suspended from roof on hooks. All other gear is loaded through side door. A small partition stops stand falling forward. Also its good to be able to stand up in the back without crouching.
