Do you use a template builder - such as moonfruit

- 'Cpanel' editor provided with hosting
- Software - such as dreamweaver

Do you regularly edit the site, and did you build it yourself?

Editor - vi (seriously :o )

Can't abide bloat-inducing wysiwyg's and 'frameworks' :bang:

Regularly playing with all of my sites - it's the majority of my living; yes all my own work.

Dreamweaver for designing when I'm feeling lazy or hand code when I'm feeling frisky.

What about you Max, what do you use?

I took a template and dismantled the code so I understood how it worked, I then built my site by hand-writing the code and I regularly update and tweek it, just added a 'proms' page which I'm waiting to propergate in google, hoping for top 3 listing! ;)

Just switched to Firefox browser and realised that my site looked pants viewed via it so have re-written some code to put it right. :)

I use a Marc J. It's Awesome! :d

Do you regularly edit the site, and did you build it yourself?

As stated above, I used Marc J to buld my website. I did some graphic design for it but the vast majority was left to Marc's expertise.

I do occasionally edit the odd bit text using dreamweaver, but the vast Majority of the time I leave it to the expert.

I bought dreamweaver with the intention of learning to build websites....but it made my head hurt. LOL.

We use joomla, mainly update with pictures but probably going to do a site re vamp sometime soon and improve the layout of ours.

Theres other good packages you can get which have numerous templates available which you can then edit yourself. Just depends on your coding knowledge and designing on programs like photoshop for example.

My current site is built using an included template package provided by my hosting company 1&1 and it has served me well.

However I will be looking to get a new version professionally built within the next 12 - 18 months.

I have no idea how my website was built or what software was used, and I really don't care.

All I know is that not bring very technical myself, I paid a professional IT company to do it for me & I was happy with the results.

As for editing the site regularly, I certainly do (well, to be accurate I get someone else to do it for me).

I think it's important to keep looking at your website & coming up with ways of improving it.

I probably have about 40 or 50 amendments made to my site each year.

Really?

I doubt if I've made 4 or 5 in the last 12 months.

I add new testimonials & gallery pictures about 4 or 5 times a year and update the date on the copyright each year but that's about it.
I will add a page if I think of anything I need to promote a bit more, like my recent 'Proms, 16th & 18th's' page. :)

Oh yes.

I wait till I have about 10, then I get in touch with Mr J to do the business!

That probably happens at least 4 times a year.

What about adding new testimonials & removing old ones?

I'm doing that all the time...in fact four of the five testimonials on my site are from the last couple of months alone!

I can't seem to get to grips with these softwares, yet I'm quite technically minded, seems strange that, I know.

I once had a go with Dreamweaver, but it was a blank canvas, and I didn't have the faintest idea what to press.
