Strange!

Just thought I'd put this out to everybody.

I've noticed that this year, personally speaking...that the usual months I would expect to be quieter than normal aren't.
What I mean is this.... I was going through my bookings today and noticed a big difference compared to the last couple of years. Yes, I know there is a credit crunch going on and all that but that's not what I am talking about.

For example: The last couple of years has seen me fully booked every friday and saturday in May, June, July and August no problem. The rest of the year being healthy with bookings too but with the odd date to fill etc etc. I usually find that February, Late September, October and Early November are the quieter times but this year isn't the case.

April was mega busy for me this year as was May. June saw me actually have 2 Saturdays off which I didn't like at all. July is good, August is stupidly busy. The thing I find very strange is that I have already filled up every friday and saturday in September and October (both completed today with bookings). November is also looking good and December is filling up with lots of provisional bookings at the moment.

I'm not moaning at all...I just find it strange.
Anyone having the same thing happen to them?

Unfortunatly comparing my diary for the last couple of years i am down on bookings and up on cancellations for june,july and august.

Bookings in May, June & July this year have been the same as last year, and August is looking the same.

However, I'm quieter than normal after that, with only a couple in September, nothing in October, a couple in November & one in December.

This year I'm 7 bookings down on my best ever year, so it's going to be my second best year, which isn't bad considering we're in the middle of the worst recession of my life!

Well I have been busy but comes to an abrupt halt for a couple of months after next week. Only 1 booking for August which stands to be the worst ever :eek: . September maybe holding it's own as have a couple of high paying gigs, October full yet worryingly December (including NYE) completely free.

Generally speaking I am finding what should be the quieter months busy and busy months quiet :confused: :confused:

I have 2 Saturdays off between now and middle of September other than that out every Friday/Saturday with a few Sunday and Midweek bookings.

April, May & June have also more-a-less being booked Friday and Saturdays.

September have about 3/4 in, October I have 2 in, 1 for November and nearly full for all Fridays in December and also booked Boxing Day.

So not to bad! :D

In the whole enquiries are slowing up quite a lot at the moment.

Same here---Its Summer Holidays time and Schools breaking up etc.

By September it will pick up again.

Quite true, this year ive bee soooo busy over january to now, and still booked up till november, when i go on holiday.
