Help with mirrors!

I have had to replace 2 of my cracked mirrors on my Constella Astra Scans, and was wondering what the best method is to fix the mirror to the steppor motor.

I am assuming that silicone will do the job, and epoxy resin will peel after some heat, so in your opinion, what will do the job?

I just did this on an EVL scanner and used EvoStick (from B&Q and rated up to something like 130 degrees C), as I happened to have some from gluing a lens back into another light the week before. It was a pain to cut the old one off though, so must have been stuck with something of similar strength beforehand. Be warned, that trying to get the mirror to sit in the right position whilst the glue dries is a bit of a mission!
