I always just start off saying something simple like:
"Good Evening Ladies and Gents and Welcome to ......
Tonight we have live Karaoke and i will be taking your requests all night."

This has got to be the most pretentious intro ever, I'd cringe if I was there...

I thought it was brilliant. Well executed and planned DMX show and very good mic work. Everyone involved and very personal.
OK, if you want to be the centre of attention!
....and it would never happen in this country. :sj:

It reminded me of an intro to a ride at Disney :)

Regardless of the fact it was a 'bit' OTT, you must have like the lighting and the very clever programming?

Awesome, although I expected Prince Naseem to come through the doors.

Yes it's very well done, they've put a lot of work into it. I think it just goes on way too long, and it's not really an "entertainment spectacular". I think the female voice sounds a bit wrong as well.

I agree that the lightshow is excellent....stunning infact but a couple of things.
Firstly, I think it went on for too long and Secondly, I found the whole 'intro' thing cringeworthy. If I was a guest there and clapping along I would be thinking "Come on...get on with it!!".

Typical of us Brits really and the Yanks. They land on the moon and stick a huge American flag in it, we land on the moon and put a "Caution uneven surface" sign up.

Really liked the programming of the lightshow, The mic work was very good and he involved the crowd in what he was doing.

Fantastically programmed light show, were they Martin MACs? I would love 4 of those.
I do think it was a bit over the top (for a wedding, which I think that was). Looked more like the kind of thing that they would have to introduce the launch of a new car.
