But you already knew that. :D Cameras. Contrary to what Darren and Callum may believe. It's a Sony DSC-80, and it cost me an arm and a leg when I bought it. :( :( :( :(

Here's the problem. I've probably got every setting at max quality, and when I did a Gig log, Justin edited it, but couldn't get it onto youtube, cos it was too damn big! Any hints on how to cut the filesize? Thanks chaps.

Which format is the video in, Peter? VirtualDub is a free app which handles most types of video.

Aw come on, that's a " Phone a friend " question! :confused: :confused: :confused: If I knew that, I'd be halfway there. :D :D
Manual appears to say there are three modes. 640 fine, 640 standard, and 160. Guess I need to use 160, if I can find it. Ah well, when all else fails, RTFM. :D :D

Seeing as Youtube uses the .flv format, I'd imagine that you'd need to find a way to convert MPEG to FLV... but I'm not entirely sure!

Of course, it would save a lot of bandwidth for users if Youtube allowed you to use their software on your side! :(

I'm no expert either, but that's my logical take on it... the only potential problem might be Youtube encoding the FLV file you made into another one, thus reducing the quality further.

Yes but its also allows the upload of files that are 1GB.
