Not putting a dampner on the situation - what were you charging ???

I was the Dogs Danglies in many venues when I was going out for next to nothing. All of a sudden when prices go up you are a rubbish DJ.

From a serious point of view well done, good work, but take my advice - be wary of venues. Cynical - yes, Experience - Yes ;)

yes great news. Like has been said be mindful of how some venues treat their djs. Getting a contract written up may be an idea. You dont want to be turning future work away for dates that soon become free.....

I thought by club you meant nightclub:doh:

Still, well donte, but be extra careful. Like has been said, get a contract sorted.

The pubs/clubs (whilst not exactly the same thing :) ) are all on rolling contracts with 4 weeks notice. Never had a problem.

If you know your dates, then tie them down with a "Multiple bookings contract" where you list all the dates times etc on one form. :) - And still take a deposit if you can. That way if they do drop you, you still get something :)

Also, if you are doing them a good price, see if they would promote you. i.e. on their website etc?

I thought by club you meant nightclub:doh:

Tragically, I didn't - I do too many football clubs, working mens clubs, social clubs, etc and only the occasional Nightclub :o
