I'm starting an auction website soon and I've had 3 custom logos made for me (www.logobogo.com (http://www.logobogo.com/)) I'm spoilt for choice which logo would be best to use on my new website. Which 1 would you go for?

You might want to make them a bit bigger.

All are too small to give proper feedback.
From what I can see though, if those were provided by a professional designer I'd be looking for alternatives. They look VERY amatuerish.

Yeah, I thought that.
Shaun, please elaborate mate. You say they don't look pro enough, is it the text font or something else? Maybe a less colourful background with better text saying www......?
Many thanks :)

Hard to tell untill I can see them a bit bigger. Just going my the looks of the small images it looks like something thrown quickly together in photoshop.
I'll be able to provide more input if you can post larger images.
So, is your Logo just the "Why Buy New Cameras" line with a picture of a camera??
I'm thinking the answer to that unquestionmarked question should also be part of your Logo?? or am I reading it wrong?

Yeah sure, I've requested it to be 3 times the size, waiting on a response. If you still think it's looking unprofessional, would you be willing to create me a pro looking graphic? I'm more than happy to send you a PayPal donation for your kind help :D ;)

Yeah, it reads Why Buy New Video Cameras with a picture of a video camera.

There's currently a few members waiting on designs at the moment, as well as several more away from the forum. So I really can't commit at this time. I've got a backlog as it is. Sorry.
If you're prepared to wait and would like added to the list, then send me a PM. I don't accept donations though, but I can certainly forward you a price for my design services.
My advice comes for free though...so please post the larger images when you get them. :)

Many thanks Shaun, appreciate it. Can you tell me on here your rates for custom logos mate? I understand you've got a backlog of graphic work to do, what is your estimated time you can do me a few designs?
Sure, I will upload the bigger graphics as and when they submit :)

Talking from an uninformed punter point of view, It just left me wondering what it was about. With the logo itself it wasn't obvious.
Is it a question or a statement?

It's the name of my company. I got the idea from that disco supplier www.whybuynew.co.uk (http://www.whybuynew.co.uk).
Any recommendations :)?

Don't like them I'm afraid Neil, they're not really logos at all, like others have mentioned.
I'd suggest waiting for Shaun, the ones he's produced so far for people are outstanding!

I'm liking the 3rd 1 the best because the text is centred better IMO.

Predominantly electronic gadgets, admittedly DJ-related versus Video Cameras - the legal test is whether or not a reasonable person might be confused between the two - it's not copyright that's at issue.

 I'm confused with the speel your coming out with  The way I read your comment is that your saying to me that someone will be some what confused between disco equipment and video cameras, I'm sorry but it's a load of nonesense IMO. People might be searching Google for auction sites that auction off video cameras and if they do happen to see the other site back to back with mine (which is unlikely) then they won't get confused. Lets just end it right here because your just confusing the whole situation. I'm not being nasty here okay, I want you to understand my point of view. I've done absolutely nothing wrong here and just want peoples' opinions on the graphics I have kindly received off someone who was more than willing to help me out.
Thank you.
Neil.

They look slightly better now that they're larger, but they are still very basic designs, especially coming from a designer. They are definitely not logos though. A stock image stuck next some text on a gradient background....there's definitely room for improvement.

Hehe! In all fairness mate, it was nice for them to do it for a small PayPal donation :) Did you get my PM pal? Do you think it's important how to word these graphics? What I mean is will certain text make a graphic look better or worse if you catch my drift?
Neil.
