I'm changing my Set-up once again as i weren't 100% happy with what i had.

i have been offered a pair of i show 3 for 100pounds cash, and im looking for a more classy rig. so would this look any good

ishow 3 - ledj wash panel - laser - ledj wash panel - ishow 3 and two movers on cases. i was going to master/slave the movers with the i show 3s. whats your thoughts.

Also can someone tell me what the spread of the lights are like,

Also can someone tell me what the spread of the lights are like,

I was supposed to pick up a pair of these today, but never made it to the shop. If I had I would have used them tonight and been able to give you photos and the works ;)

However, I've demo'd them in the shop and the spread is good, I was comparing them to pairs of NJD Datamoons, Acme Falcons and a pair of Acme Pumas and the iShow had the brightest, widest spread of the lot. I've been trying to get my hands on a pair of Falcons for the last three weeks, but they've been having major supply issues and I've since seen them in operation and have been less than impressed with the clarity of the images on the dance floor compared to either the iShow3 or the Puma so I've now decided to pay a few more quid and get the iShows. £100 for a pair is pretty good, the RRP is £320 and I'm looking at paying around the £240 mark (new).

The EFX gives you more movement.

I have had the Ishows too which are nice flowers, but they will be in a fixed position.

would 2 panels and a efx be enought for most venues?

You can't say 'most venues' 'cos it depends on the size of them! For small venues, yes. Add the moving heads and most medium venues will be covered.

2 LED Panels and an EFX500 would be enough for a small dancefloor for 20-30 people. For me that is an average venue.

If you are going to get the EFX500 then I would recommend the Martin Big Bag (Thomann supply them) to keep it in. Sized perfectly for the EFX500.

I wouldn't. I would recommend a proper flightcase from Swan for around £80. Bags are OK for lighter items but the EFX is 12+ Kg and I can't see how a padded bag would afford enough protection if it fell over in the van or car.

I would class panels, megabars, uplighting, and moodbars as
Extra Lighting

in other words, it doesn't count, just like the cherry on the cake.

So one lighting fixture wouldn't really be ample for anywhere

I would use at least 2 flowers.

have you ever seen a efx500 or even seen darren's gig log. granted he has the laser but, still enough for that venue.

anyways i have decided to go with the ishow 3's for now.

I'd class my panels as the first lights I put in the van.:p Every time. Essential.

I've just done a google search on it and I have seen that light a few times and wondered what it was. I really like it but I just don't have the funds at the moment to invest in one...mind you, I would get two.

That is 2m, but it has the joining part showing making it look slightly longer.
