August has gone mad! (by my standards)

Hi all,

Well I went into July with 3 confirmed bookings for August which I was happy enough with,but in the last 2 weeks I have added another 3 as well as turning work away!. So i now have 6 for August. I have had 3 enquiries in the last couple of days. Is anyone else getting the same sort of thing at the moment?
Hope it stays like this, at this rate I can give up work ha ha :)

Well Done, but sadly not for me. :(

I have had a few bookings for September and some for next year, but the rest of this year is horribly quiet after this weekend.

For some odd reason August is usually quieter than the other summer months - probably because the place is full of tourists and the cost of everything doubles.

So I'm away on my jollies for 3 weeks :)

Not sure how things are going every where else

it seems to me everyone is leaving things right till the last minute to book then they are ringing everyone they can find which means the cowboy bridge are the busy one going out for the likes of £80 - £90 a booking around here.

August is ok for us September could do with filling some fridays, October / November is none existant at the minute and needs to pick up i hope.

August and September is good for me, however October and November is almost dead. :(
As mentioned, I tend to find people leave it to the last minute so hopefully it will pickup.

i have given up being an agent so this will be max 8 in future and pass the rest on.

As a part timer I look for 2 gigs per month. This keeps the wife happy and me happy too because I get to play out regularly.
At the moment August - December is working this rule nicely and we are now negotiating whether i can do a few more.
