Just checking how many people use UV lighting fixtures when on mobile DJing, are they safe for eyes + skin exposure etc. How long do you leave them on for, at intervals or all night??

UV lights are safe for the skin etc, they are not the same frequency of light used in sunbeds.
I use a 4' tube every now and then, James uses one virtually constantly at 18th and 21st gigs.

I have just bought some LED UV lights. I plan to use them for teenage parties and give out glow sticks etc, just to enhance the atmosphere and with the hope of future bookings off the back of it.
Time will tell ....watch out for them on ebay ..LOL!

I'm being asked for them more & more for 18th's, 21st's and themed neon parties.
Looking into LED panels and washes at the moment.

Just bought 2 Ledj stratos UV panels last week. Used them at the weekend and was really impressed. Mind you they have a relativley narrow beam angle which is a pain but if you get them up nice and high they are great.
I used to use one a while a go but not any more.
Might get a few UV panels at a later date but not in any rush to by them. :)

I take it this is following on from the journal findings in the papers today? There is undoubtedly a strong link between UV light and skin cancer, but I couldn't imagine these lighting fixtures being dangerous at all.
