....when you can go to Nottingham City Center!

The council have magically transformed the traditionally old Market Square into a full sized family beach. It boats fair ground rides, food stalls, beach bars with live entertainment (every night!) .... and not forgetting the beach!

It has cost the council £200,000 but the money they will make is astronomical!

Check it out :) The BBC video shows you all of it pretty dam well!

Do you go Skinny Dipping quite a lot then, Callum :sj:

Birmingham City Council put a beach and massive screen up in the City Centre every year as well, although this year there has not been much point - they'd have been better off putting Kayaks there with the amount of rain we've had.

I'm slightly more than a minute from a secluded beach, but can reach any one from about 30 within no time at all :)

And I'm sitting looking at Sandown Bay from my office window

It's all right for you lot, I live in the Midlands! - the most landlocked part of the UK!

Even Peter Kay mentioned Tamworth on his DVD, when he was on about winning a Speedboat on Bullseye!
