Hey,

Has anyone had any experience on these moving heads??

I'm not sure that these are made anymore? You might want to check that before you get interested in them. (unless you have found a secondhand pair?)

I Looked at them earlier, and they appear to be fairly old fashioned, I wasn't satisfied with the design.

Ok, does anyone know of any cheapish moving heads that are single armed and have a seperate colour and gobo wheel + I need 4 of these?

I could swear HTFR had some on display last time I went in.

They may have been slightly different though if these are old stock.

Nope,

The only single arm moving head they have on demo is the Acme Genesis, which one of the fairly new LED moving heads.

The thing you have to take into consideration though is that most lighting effects will look great with smoke and some fantastic DMX programming, which those have had.

That's very true - it's getting harder to choose lighting effects bearing in mind most places wont allow a haze machine, let alone a smoke machine.

Would be nice to get a list of lights that are smoke free friendly. :D

I do like the rotating gobos on those though. I had a couple of the Acme Genesis for a short time which had the same, but needed programming to get them to rotate for more than 5 seconds!

Yep, I know a DJ who has the little LED Wash Heads like the Splendors, but apparently they are Batmink Products.

If you run them stand alone, they shine in your face is what I have heard, so DMX Programming is crucial.

Some of the best lights for running by themselves with no controlling whatsoever, are the Acme Impossibleds, the pre-programs are amazing, probably better than creating manual chases on a controller.

Its odd I reckon 80% of my venues allow use of smoke. Hotels, village halls even my living room has been filled full of smoke and its not been a problem :D
