Doing a wedding for an old college friend next wednesday. I am pretty much doing this at cost and as its quite a distance from cheltenham and we are starting at 5 I am planning on travelling down the evening before. Another know of any cheap B&B's in the local area?

Laterooms.com is your best best, I managed to pickup a fairly decent hotel for £25 when I needed to stop over in Essex last Friday.

When did you book it Dan? Cheapest Ive got is 45 for a 3 star. Just wondering if it'll get cheaper nearer the date you are.

Don't forget the £350 for parking :bang: (assuming you can find a space)

Go to www.lastminute.com... under hotels, look for 'Top Secret hotels'.
These are hotels that have empty rooms they want to fill but don't want their full price guests to know that you're getting it for small £££'s, so it doesn't tell you the name until after you've booked.
However, if you take the hotel description and stick it in Google, you can usually find out... ;)
have you tried youth hostels ?

I've stayed at Penny Lanes & the Marina House hotel, both of which are in Charlotte Street and both of which I can recommend.
They both also bring back some happy memories, but that's not for here!
You'll need to Google to find their details & prices, as it's a fair while since I stayed in them.

I could be wrong, but I don't you'll get a 'cheap' B&B in Brighton in the school holidays.

I stayed at a Premier Travel Inn in Newhaven if that's any help?
It's about 10miles from centre of Brighton, and was fairly cheap too.

If you don't mind a 20 minute drive into Brighton but want somewhere cheap and secure, give Russell a call at http://www.oldposthouse.com/ and tell him Martin from the IoW recommended you.
Amazingly friendly, great breakfast, good secure parking at the rear and it's in the middle of nowhere (well as close to the middle as you can get in this part of the world).

thanks Martin but I made a booking last night.
Got one night in a half decent 3* for £45. Extra fiver for parking which is cheap looking at some of the others.
