DMX Software Problem

The USB to DMX Interface is a Velleman vm116/k8062, and the software is freestyle.

The Software seems to be fine, but the dongle doesn't seem to be controlling the lighting for some unknown reason.

This isn't mine, I have posted it for another DJ.

This could be one of many reasons

1. Are the correct drivers been installed for the dongle
2. Are the lights DMX Channels correctly assigned?
3. Are all the cables are working correctly (try one light first)
4. Is the software compatible with dongle
5. Are USB ports working on the machine
6. As software been uninstalled and re-installed?
7. As it ever worked (Could be faulty dongle)?

Freestyler does work with the Velleman controllers as I have used it. Has the dongle been assigned to the Freestyler software because when you 1st load Freestyler after it's been installed and you run if for the 1st time it will ask you to select which device you are using as your dongle.

Have the lights been set to the correct DMX addresses?

Also can you post what fixtures the "DJ" is running and then we may be able to help further.
