Made a nice long thread about this and pressed wrong button hey ho.
Ok in nutshell if your speakers can only go down to for example 40 or 50hz is there any point in providing them with a signal below this. So if I use a program to remove all frequencies below this then my speakers will not waste power trying to reproduce them is that correct?
I don't use an Eq but have a problem with a couple of songs requiring way more power than they should use for the percieved voule my guess is they are providing a signal to low for the speakers to produce and the power is being wasted is this correct?
My other post was much more in depth but hope this is enough info to get some answers. I think iknow the answer but wanted some confirmation on this.
