She's already in the final 12. At this stage the final 12 have already been chosen, the producers then edit the audition stages in such a way that hypes up the better singers and gives them extended air time over all the other numpties...which has happened with her.

I like the show, I only wish the format wasn't soooo predictable!

I'd agree with that, but I still think Stacey was the best, as she had the best overall package, or the likeability factor, as Simon would probably call it!

Completely agree.

They said they wanted to show that not all teenagers are the same, and they succeeded...as they went on to show that some teenagers have no charisma, can't sing, are rude & have no respect (didn't the guy throw the mic on the floor at the end?).

And teens wonder why they often get such bad press!

WHY OH WHY did they give the big girl and her bigger sister any air time is beyond me.

I'll predict the outcome.

Someone 'different' will make into the top 12, someone who can sing something other than ballads, perform, wow the crowds and gets good comments each week.

Ultimately though the british public will favour another ballad crooning Whitney/Leona clone who will spend a year producing a best selling album that will bore us to death at dinner parties.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE British public, vote for something different!

I get the point of it. I know it's an entertainment show :eek:
I think my main beef was giving the pie eater even more air time and she'll probably be back next year with another relative.

That and the Whitney clone outcome, I'm kind of glad that most of my saturdays are booked out with discos between now and inevitable Xmas number one!

That said, I do like to watch in the vain hope that we do find someone different and there will always be a place for talent shows. I have to say though that as a dad of a 2 year old girl, I won't be lying to her that she can win. Praise is one thing. Misleading someone is another.

As someone said before, X Factor is an entertainment programme, although I do watch it I don't agree entirely with the shows ethics.

Whilst putting on the really bad singers does make good viewing it also shunts out the good singers. How do I know this? because in 2006 I auditioned in Manchester, did I meet Simon and the crew? No!

The auditionees have to get through 3 rounds before they even get close to a TV camera and it's all BGM's staff that do the auditioning. The whole show is extremely misleading and unfortunately it's all a bit of an over-hyped scam.

Seriously, I still quite enjoy X-Factor. It's the show that's usually on when I get back from my gigs and I watch it whilst eating the obligatory sandwich while I wind down before bed! Still prefer BGT though!

I've just watched lastnights and it was an awesome show (with plenty of use of the fast forward facility ;) & trying to ignore the fact Robbie missed his cue singing Angels with Olly !!! WTF !! CRINGE !! )

robbie and ollie were very entertaining and you could see a connection between them where as gm and joe there wasn't any connection at all, but vocally they were a lot better
