Have you checked that your public liability covers you for the use of Pyrotechnics?

Yes, I have spoken to them in the past when I have used pyros and they said as long as I do a risk assessment it will be ok. Only want some confetti cannons and glitter carts for the first dance. nothing with flames.

At young Spirit's recent bash, I thought he had liberated a few RPG's from his former employer, but they turned out to be merely ( merely? They were capable of covering a table in confetti at the far corner of a large hall , when fired from the opposite corner  ) Hand Held confetti cannons . About a yard long each! I still think they must need a part 1 firearms licence. :D :D

you could try east midlands sound and lighting in Grantham, i hired a firing system off them a few years ago. Not sure if they still hire.

Just looked at one, god I didn't realise they were so much to buy. I used to have one years ago which was just a metal box with a keyswitch and a red button, no safety circuits and cut out's that the modern ones have.

Found a place near me that I never knew was there that do Le Maitre stuff, might see about hiring one from there.
