Absolutely brilliant! I remember seeing Neil Hannon (Divine Comedy) doing a support act at a big stadium gig (can't remember who was headlining - I only went for Neil!) and he sang this. What a crazy experience that one! (and one to tell the grandkids about!).

Some are army & some are air force. Most of mine are black, apart from the brown ones, the green ones & the one pair of dark blue ones.

Used to have some red ones & the only pair of white ones I've ever owned were sports socks & were worn appropriately

This can be fun when in a cosy atmosphere.Put the track on and get everyone to check wether one of the male members of the audience is wearing white socks...they get really embarassed if they are.:D :D

I have to stick up for Martin here :eek: Fair enough most of us on here would not condone that sort of act - but that is not the market most of us on here are aiming for, however, and I know you have not insuated it, there is nothing wrong with that market - it makes him/them money which at the end of the day is the result most of us want.

I actually refrain from swearing myself ...when I'm working.

If you look back I did mention that I haven't used it for ages ....in fact it was something I forgot I used to use until we started talking about socks!!

Would I use it again......yes probably....If the occasion was right....and thats where the skill comes in.If its going to bomb....it does big style!!


You mentioned the younger DJ's perhaps being influenced by my advice.....I doubt it.They seem clued up enough not to take any advice from any old geriatric, seveneties has been DJ.

By the same token....when the audience is that age group it has worked best of all.They love taking the :Censored: out of each other at that age!!;) ;)
