Would like to buy a new motor or second hand.
Spec -
Insurance group 8 or less.
As low a CO as possible.
Got to be able to fit a full rig in. (Vectra Estate does that now)

If second hand -
1 year or less old.
10,000 or less on the clock.

I've been checking out the Volvo V50 Estates....:o

Money wise - £13,750.00

Thanks.

How about a 2007 Ford Mondeo Estate 2.0l TDCI? - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/Detail.aspx?deriv=37004

Think that fits in with your requirements? :)

There are a few Volvo V50 at work. They don't look all that big inside imo. The older Volvo's are more like houses. Get an ex copper one and it has a sport button which changes a few things on the ecu I believe and gives you quite a bit more power. W-hey. :P

I am thinking of down sizing my show sometime next year which is why I was looking at the Volvo V50.

Thanks so far. :)

had a look at LPG cars. Good carbon footprint, some tax advantages and lowers the insurance group I believe.

Oh yeah and 50p a litre!

I keep looking at the Ford Tourneo's. There's going to be six in my house from Dec, so we're going to need something like a Voyager, Kia Sedona, Galaxy, 807, etc etc - or the Tourneo.

Plus I wouldn't have to keep lifting the seats out to get the Bass Bin's in :)

Hmmmmmmmm. He'll have to upsize his wallet. It starts at double his price tag, and by the time I'd configured my choice ( and that didn't have all the bells and whistles I fancied. :( :( :( ) it was over 30k!!!

If it depreciated by 60% in the first year, I'm not sure I'd be reassured. ;)

In that case, how about a Ford Focus hatch back?

You will be surprised what you can fit in the back of one of them. ;):D

Nice car and huge as far as cars go. I looked at one but opted for a Citroen C5 instead- purely for the self levelling suspension.

Just bought my wife a C-Class Mercedes estate and am actually dissapointed with the space, I can fit a rig in, but only just.

My mate drives one of these as his company car and they do look well I think and he loves it.

Our fleet manager gave me an insignia for three days to test as we looked at putting them on fleet.
Really could not get on with it. Ride was not clever over long distances and managed to get at least three bits of the internal trim to fall off in the first two days. Not very well built at all.
I will stick with German cars!
