Something im looking into is the starclothst that you hang from roofs like the piccy below (dont know whos it is, just found it on the interweb...so sorry if its anyones on here :o )

So....for those who do it, where do you buy the cloths...how do you hand it...whats the set-up/issues/problems like with it...etc...etc.

I think they are just long line led strings. They shine through the organza as they are so bright.

Possibly Mat, would be a pain putting up long lines of the stuff though. I thought maybe it was proper cloth, not disimilar to black starcloth in the make up of it.

It's white starcloth! A lot of marquee companies have them.

Aside from the cloths themselves costing in the region of £1-1.5k each, the actually rigging of them safely above peoples heads would be a nightmare, so I'd leave it to the marquee companies personally!

Sorry to be negative, but it's not really an additional services that's easy to do!

Keeping them clean will be a nightmare as well as it's not the sort of thing that you can steam or dryclean etc. Rigging wise though they are a different weight to the wool serge starcloths so they are not that heavy. Danno is right though the rigging is bespoke and not the sort of thing that you can turn up an hour early to set up. As the wiseman said leave it to the marquee companies.:)

Just confirmed what i thought guys. Ive had a couple of enquiries regarding it...all in venues with their own permanant marquee. :)

Would it not be an idea to use a few star cluster lasers or something???

A white one would be a good idea. lol.

Not a bad idea Tom. Dont know where i would stand with dry hiring them out mind. Ill have a look into it. :)
