This might be a daft question.... Do you need different types of spekon cables if you have Active or Passive speakers??

This might be a daft question.... Do you need different types of spekon cables if you have Active or Passive speakers??
On most bi-amped active boxes you will find a pair of Neutrik NL4 inlets.
On tri-amped actives NL8 is the standard, with three pairs wired.
On most passive boxes, NL4 is the standard, however only one pair is used and the other pair paralleled for link-thru.

Never seen an active cab yet with a Speakon. Powercon, yes. But not Speakon.

You would only find a Powercon on a Powered speaker (the clue being in the name :cool: )
