Well I have gone from 4 provisional booking to no confirmed bookings for this NYE. I am booked for next year already but not this.

Have now decided that as I am so busy between xmas and nye (4 weddings) I am not going out unless offered silly money. Anyone else in the same situation ??

Yep, haven't got anything in December yet :(

Could do with getting a nice priced NYE gig, to boost my fund.

I always used to do lots of christmas parties in December & usually a pub on new years eve, but my advertising is aimed at the wedding market, so these were virtually all for my friend's agency...and as he charges less than me & then takes a commission, I always ended up with a fair bit less than for my own bookings.

Last year I decided to only do my own bookings each December in future, and at my normal rates. This resulted in two bookings in December 2008, both for 21st birthdays, and nothing on new years eve.

This year I have just one booking for December, which is a wedding in the middle of the month, and I'm quite happy with that.

After 24 years or running around like a blue :Censored: fly each December, it's nice to be able to relax a bit more. After all, I still have my quiz nights to keep me busy. This is the first stage of my gradual winding down of the discos.

December is very busy for myself at the moment.

Had one enquiry for NYE, but didn't hear back.

So at the moment I am free. :(

I have had a few enquiry for NYE but have turned it down. Unless the money is super super good, I think I would just rather be with friends.

Unless the wonga for Hogmany is brilliant then I'm going to have it off. I'd rather be at a party where the food and drink is on tap and is unlimited. :D

I think im booked......

Seriously though, ive been in the same place for 6 years now, and after the 2nd year it was just kind of expected that i post out a booking form in October and its done....probably not the best way of working but it works :)

I'm booked 200 yards down the road, good fee, 5 free tickets for my family and free drinks all night for me and the wife (to be). Happy Days indeed.

This has been one of my busiest years, don't know why but I've been inundated for December. I've closed down a lot of my Midweek december 09 dates now, but if anyone would like some work in or around Worcester, get in touch. I'm quite happy to pass on enquiries to you guys. email me [email protected] and leave your contact details and charges say from a 7.30until 12.30 gig, I'll have a rough idea then what to tell potential bookers. I'm not an agency and have no wish to be, but if I can help fellow members and pass a bit of work on, why not. Wayne (For Starsounduk) Cheers:beer1:
