So I'm showing some.

The reasons:

1. In the mobile world its almost forgotten and need remembering.
2. My 1210s are the best kit I've ever owned.
3. I have the most fun when i'm playing with them.
4. Serato (or any other dvs) is Viagra for them.
5. I get loads of positive feedback whenever I use them.
6. Everytime i've used them in a mobile app, I've got a tip.
7. They are simple and easy to use even if you don't beat match.
8. They (well Technics) last for ever. I've seen a pair going strong that are over 30 years old.
9. They caused a revolution in the Dj world.
10. They spin round and round.

I'm sure you some may not agree but just thought I'd share. Any ways does anyone else use them when mobile djing? or thinking about using them?

Ah but but Serato sorts that out for me! Oh and in-case you don't know what serato is; it's a digital vinyl system that allows me to control mp3s the same way that I would with vinyl but with added features, no need for record crates or cds. However as I'm just using legal downloads to avoid produb I don't have a big enough collection to do all my parties with turntables, eventually I will do but for now its cdjs and on occasion the turntables.

I must admit theres been a few occasions where ive wired my serato into the Technics in a club rather than the CD players. Depends on my mood :)

There's no doubt that cd players are good but how much more fun is it using turntables :D

I love my turntables, but my MEP & HD2500 are far more portable, and offer more features.

My turntables last went out for a hire job last October!

Still buy vinyl every week though!

I have never used them in a mobile application, as I always pick the best, or most appropriate tool for the job.

Using turntables with a dvs like serato for me gives me pretty much all the features I need with the major ones being looping/ tempo lock and a large library of music. The worst thing about using turntables is that they are fairly bulky and much heavier to cart around.

....which you can so with most software or dedicated HD player without carrying round turntables.
