ok, I was really looking for something like the Isolution IROCK 5S Scanners + Isolution Moving Heads.

I need to cover 200 + People and the dynamos + X Moves will struggle with that amount of people.

A word of advise- it's not a good idea to state your budget so early- I suspect most quotes you get will be close to £350.

I'm going to be pedantic, but that is NOT a Diablo. It is a flame machine.

A "Diablo" is a model of flame machine, originally marketed by Source / Zoom and latterly SFX Distribution.

Not all flame machines are Diablos. A bit like not all table top CD players are CDJs.

may be able to help there... Have everything but the flame lights and they are on the to buy list so it's probable i'd have them by then if a booking is made :P

Moving heads you have a choice of EVL Minispot 150's (150 discharge) or EVL Prospot 250's (250 discharge with prism too)

Scan wise i have the EVL Proscan 150's and 250's

Deckstand booth you have a choice of black cloth, white cloth, black wool serge, standard LED starcloth, theatrical LED starcloth :D

Just depends how flexible the budget it really? :D

If you are hiring 7ft flames and your trussing will be suitably high (so the cloth doesn't obstruct your other LX), place them in front of the stands

It's a black sheet with holes in and Christmas lights stuck through :eek:

I can read max.. my reply basically was asking how flexible that price was as with travel installation and everything else it's not allot when travelling from the midlands.


Whats the difference between a standard LED Starcloth and a theatrical LED starcloth?

Both are really good quality cloths and look good on the deckstand booth frame and both come with a controller - it's just they use different production techniques in making the cloth - which is why there is a price difference.

The standard LED starcloth is made in the same factory as the NJD starcloths in china - so they are identical to them but tailored to the shape of the booth and with hook and looop (velcro) around the edges rather than ties.

The theatrical grade cloth is a thicker wool serge and made here in the UK. IT's on par with the quality of the S&H booth LED cloth (just made by one of their competitors)... It has more rounded LED's, includes led holders and has less LED's over the main cloth. The downside is it does put it at costs associated with the S&H booth which is why we have the 2 types of starcloth front so you have the 2 options depending on budget.

Both can look good.

Personally i am a fan of either side of the booth but it depends how much space you have to set up and what size truss span you are using.

IF the stands are going to be pretty close to the booth then it's best of covering as much of the stands but if you have a few metres between the truss supports and the booth i'd put the flame lights either side of the booth.

You can't compare a £60 cheap starcloth made at home and put on ebay for £60 with a professional starcloth (whether it be the budget range like the NJD or a UK made theatrical one) - there are so many difference it's unbelievable. (the pro ones look good for start off!!)

Sorry I cant help with you with the hires. I know a company in cheltenham that hires but not sure on long distance hires could always give them a try not sure of the site address as Im on a very slow connection at mo but type into google sound and vision express cheltenham they should come up.

Obviously there is a huge difference, I have seen the Prolight RGB DJ Skirt One Twice infact! (once at a Party, another at BPM)

and yes they look a hell lot better than a packet of Christmas lights from the newsagents for a pound. The LEDs are Brighter.

Don't Starcloths have to be a set size to fit certain deckstands, the DSPB is a rather unusual shape; Does it take a standard skirt like other deckstands?
