I was at my Nephews wedding on Sat night at the Marsham Court hotel in Bournemouth and i have to say the DJ was extreamly good. His set up was very neat and tidy he had great voice on the mic and made sure that the night went with a bang. He showed the kind of values that great DJ are made off.

his name was David Powell or DR.Disco not sure if he is a member on here but i recomended to him that he join this great forum.

I know as a DJ when we see other DJ in action some times we look deeper in to how they perform but he was awesome he asked for requests and had the dancefloor rocking by playing the right music for the crowd at the right time his lighting display was all LED and looked superb he was also using a SH booth with starcloth.

it was a pleasure to listen to and he even had me dancing ( i never dance normally )

below is a small video of him during the last dance

i agree with sted it is nice to hear a positive review of someone else, i won't review the dj i saw in action friday night because there is nothing i could say positive about it, well he turned up but really would of been better if he hadn't,
anyway glad you had a good night daz

It wasn't me was it? ;)
Friday was an uphill struggle from the get go: couldn't seem to do anything to consistantly please the audience. Was utterly thrown off stride. Confidence at all-time low following that one... :bang: :bang: :bang:

no i guarantee this one was not a member of any forum , it is a strange feeling i have today because saturday we had a fantastic night in fact i would go as far as saying one of the best we have ever had but i still can't get the bad feeling that friday left me with to go away,

its allways a pleasure to see a dj take pride in what he is doing and the way he presents himself. and the nice thing is all the guest's are still tlking about how good he was.:p

What a refreshing change to hear a DJ PRAISING another DJ, instead of all the petty backstabbing and critisism we normally have to endure - well done.

And welcome along Dave.

Sorry to disagree, but if they're crap and not worth their fee, then they should get slated.

id slate the one i saw on friday but apparently he came free with the room, still didnt think he was worth that much though. to be honest i hate the lets slate another dj post's because i believe we should concentrate on our own shows rather than worry what other people are doing/charging unless they are doing it better and then we need to step up to the mark:)

I have no problems with DJ's who are learning, or cheap. I have big problems with ones who are experienced, expensive, crap, and thieving :Censored: 's.

Same as the day job really. I've cleared up their messes in both.

But if you stick to the facts such as untidy cables, damaged speakers etc... then I dont see a issue with that. Its only when you get personal I think it goes ott

Oh and when people get the wrong person!

Did you read the thread Max?

Ah Right :o

It's an S&H Booth, but the lighting bar is totally seperate.

Dave, what are your lights hung from?
