That is False

Taking the Administration Preferences into consideration, Forum Members can't edit posts (after 10 minutes), Delete Posts, nor Delete their own accounts.

It has to be done by an Administrator.

When will you learn not to comment on things you know bog all about?

Would you like Callum (a moderator, not an admin) to try it with your account & see if anything more than 10 minutes remains?

Go on, I dare you. Let him try. :sj:

FYI, One touch ban and delete (which they were talking about) can be used by any member of site staff & works on all posts by the selected member.

I too would've thought there would be some sort of failsafe to stop somebody deleting themselves. (But I'm not going to try it, just in case) :sj: :sj:

- Moderators can delete any member's account
- Erase all their posts
- One touch (no confirm Yes/No button)

Corabar Steve

Yes. At least, I don't remember there being a yes/no option last time I used it.

There you go again, making statements that you have no experience of. Moderators can delete members, their posts and their accounts.

There is actually. The 'one touch ban and clean' option is really a 'two touch...' There is a step in the process that asks you to confirm and enter the reason.

So are you saying that :
- Moderators can delete any member's account

Yes.

So are you saying that :
- Erase all their posts

Yes.

So are you saying that :
- One touch (no confirm Yes/No button)

Well, almost. It's a two touch (one to select, one to confirm)

Really?

Yes. So don't get on the wrong side of a moderator.

(It's usually (in fact more or less exclusively) used for spammers)

This is true. These measures were put in place to combat the spammers we occasionally get. Measures that so far have worked flawlessley to stop spam being posted throughout the site. :)

I'll tell you this.
I have been DJing (owned gear, used it + research) for longer than SOME Professionals have.

There are Pro's that are probably doing their first gig, who have only just bought the equipment, and I think you'll find I know a hell lot more than such people.

But Obviously those of you with 20 Years Experience etc, I can't really say I know more than you overall.

I have to say that most of your posts dont come across from someone with years of experience, infact most of them sound quite clueless.

Its one thing playing with equipment in the bedroom, quite another using it to work a dancefloor.
