Hello there been djying gor 10 years but for someone just had to relocate to Stockport (my home town )but finding it hard to get mobile dj work at min Havnt got much money to advertise in papers but do flyer drives work ?
Ive already done a karaoke not far away just wanted some tips on getting business/bookings most pubs in the area already have regular dj / karaoke dj 's and dont want to be undercutting and the like HELP!!!!! PLEASE!!!!:) :confused:

Hi and welcome. I'm rather new on here too, but been at the game a long while.
I had to reestablish myself two and a half years ago. Get onto the entertainment agencies. Gets you an income in the mean time rather than the rig lying idol - fees aren't great. They won't let you advertise to pick up your own work whilst on their jobs, but its money whilst you get established. Also gets your face around the place.

Welcome to the Forum.
There are loads of methods of advertising; some work, some don't, and some just waste funds incurring in a loss.
(I have business qualifications)
I think that Residencies are a good idea as you know the place, and if they use You for the majority of their entertainment, it's almost guaranteed to bring in an income.
I am hoping to start up this type of business within the next few years or so.
