Hello

Has anyone been contacted by eweddings?

quick chat with their sales guy today, they are a wedding directory, 'with a difference' they only charge on a per booking basis.

Not sure what their fees are, but looking at their terms and conditions they also charge a one off set up fee and then their booking fee is payable 14 days after their invoice date (which i'm guessing is when the customer books and not when the booking takes place).

I've got a site demo booked tomorrow, so a bit more of a report on how it works tomorrow, will be interesting to see how much their booking fee is.

If they are the company I'm thinking of, they phoned me a few months back, but I turned them down due to the high one off listing fee, which I seem to recall was around the £300 mark. At the time, I told them I might have considered it if the fee was around £50, but that £300 was way over my budget.

I guess they didn't have too many takers, as they recently phoned me back to advise they could now let me have a listing for £49.99! I still declined.

If I remember rightly, their commission equates to somewhere around £15 or £20 on the average £350 booking.

Having checked the website, they are the company I was thinking of.

They say they are the only wedding website in the UK that offers suppliers no risk whatsoever, and yet they have a set up fee...which I find a bit confusing, especially as a number of other sites offer free listings!

Also, I can find no mention on their site of how much this set up fee is.
